Day 1 : Kolkata - Dibrugarh
Arrive Kolkata by international flight meeting on arrival and transfer to hotel. After breakfast, transfer to domestic airport to board flight to Dibrugarh. Meeting on arrival in Dibrugarh and transfer to hotel.
Dibrugarh, a 150-year-old tea city of Assam, has a population of 300,000. Dibrugarh was the main river port but due to the silting in the Brahmaputra, it has lost the importance of being a viable port. Evening, visit a tea plantation. Overnight in Dibrugarh.
Assam Tea Garden
After an early breakfast transfer to the Bhat to board the ferry to Oriamghat. Leave Dibrugarh by ferry, upstream, to Oriamghat (8 hrs on the Brahmaputra).
The river abounds with bird life and the boat ride offers a time for a briefing and a view of life which continues unchanged on the many islands and the shores of the mighty Brahmaputra. Packed lunch will be on served board the ferry. Reach Oriamghat and drive 4 kms to the check post at Oyan (Arunachal Pradesh). After completing the entry formalities, drive from Oyan to Pasighat (27 kms / 1 hr). Overnight in Pasighat.
Early morning visit the market at Pasighat. After breakfast, drive from Pasighat to Boleng (118 kms / 5hrs). The drive is over rough roads. We shall drive along the Siang and shall stop at Yembung and at a rope suspension bridge. Arrive Boleng and check-in at the Circuit House. This is the area of the adi minyong tribes. Overnight in Boleng.
Full day visit to interior villages located along the Siang river. Return to the Circuit House. Overnight in Boleng.
Boleng
After breakfast leave for Daparijo via Galong (220 kms / 7 hrs). See Galong villages on the way. Arrive Daporijo in the evening and check-in at the Circuit House. Overnight in Daparijo.
After an early breakfast drive from Daparijo to Ziro via Raga (174 kms / 7 hrs). The route passes through the panoramic Hill Miri areas and comes into Ziro, which is the home of the apatani people. Overnight in Ziro.
After breakfast move through the terraced fields and bamboo & pine groves on the way to visit the village hong. In the afternoon visit the handicrafts emporium and the market place. Overnight in Ziro.
After breakfast visit the nishi village at joram and drive on the Biswanath Chariali (220 km /8 hrs). Arrive Biswanath Chariali and check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Biswanath Chariali.
Kaziranga Forest
Early Morning visit temples on the shore of the mighty Brahmaputra. After breakfast, leave for Kaziranga. Arrive Kaziranga and check-in at Wild Crass. The Kaziranga National Park was declared a reserve for the one horned Indian rhinoceros in 1926. It lies on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River.There are grasslands combined with impenetrable vegetation, thorny rattan cane, and elephant grass and evergreen forest. Kaziranga has swampy areas and is one ofthe finest habitats of the Indian rhino.
Among the many species one can see the Indian bison, elephant, tiger, leopard, hog deer, swamp deer, sambar and python. Bird life includes pelican, migratory duck, ibis, hornbill, black-necked stork, peacock, egret and ring tailed fishing eagle. Jeep ride in the Kaziranga National Park. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Early morning Elephant ride into the park. After breakfast visit Dhansiri Mukh to see mising village. Late afternoon jeep ride in the Kaziranga Park. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Early morning walk through the Panbari Forest Reserve. Search for the rare Hollock Gibbon (only ape in India) and Hornbills (If interested, you can stay longer). Jeep ride inside the park. Leave Kaziranga for Guwahati (230 kms / 5 hrs). Arrive Guwahati and check-in at hotel. Guwahati is the capital of the state of Assam. It was once known the “City of Astrology” and it derives its importance from its location on the bank of river Brahmaputra. Overnight in Guwahati.
Full day city tour of Guwahati, with boat ride (on the Brahmaputra) to Peacock Island. Visit the temples of Umananda, Kamakshya and Navagrah.Umanada temple, dedicated to Shiva, it stands on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra, and can be reached by ferry. The Navagrah temple is dedicated to the nine celestial planets and is unique. The Kamakshya temple, believed to be an ancient Khasi sacrificial site is situated on the sacred Nilachal Hill, which is dedicated to the goddess Kamakshya and has been a well-known center for Tantric Hinduism worshippers of Sakti.

The hilltop also affords a panoramic view of the Brahmaputra and the surrounding region. The Janardhan temple in the heart of the city atop hillock. It has an image of the Lord Buddha, which is a unique blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. The State museum, which house rare sculptures of the former dynasties of the region. Overnight in Guwahati.
Transfer to airport to board flight to Kolkata. Leave Guwahati for Kolkata by 9W 207 (1150 / 1300 hrs). Meting on arrival in Kolkata and transfer to hotel. Kolkata (Calcutta) – India’s largest city, is the capital of West Bengal and was founded by the remarkable English merchant trader Job Charnock in 1660. PM: At leisure. Overnight in Kolkata.
 
City tour of Kolkata visiting the Victoria Memorial built by Lord Curzon as a marble memorial to Queen Victoria in 1905 houses the memorabilia of the early days of the British. Visit the National Museum which houses the various art treasures of the land and the temple dedicated to Kali, the demonic attribute of Parvathi at Kalighat. Drive past by Fort William, The Eden Gardens, The Dalhousie Square and The Writers Building. Also visit the Missionaries of Charity, the home of late Mother Teresa. Evening at leisure. After dinner transfer to international airport to board your onward flight.
